601 – Make it your new favourite bus!
The waiting is over! July 18th 2011, signals the start of the new 601 bus service from/to Huntingdale Station. The Hon Terry Mulder, MP Minister for Roads, launched the new 601 Bus at a ceremony at the Clayton campus. The service will leave the Huntingdale Station and the Clayton campus every four minutes between the hours of 7am to 7pm. No more worrying if you miss one 601 bus – another one will be there for you in just four minutes.
The 601 is a pre-paid service – you must have a valid ticket with you to board. Just use your valid zone 1 or zone 2 Metcard or myki to jump on.
The 601 bus is operating as a year-long trial, with the provision of the service to be reviewed at the end of the trial period. To make sure the trial is a success we need you to use the bus and show the State government that the bus is well patronised. If we don’t use it, we lose it!
When choosing a bus to get from or to Huntingdale train station, remember to take the 601 to ensure its survival. Click here for related news stories
