Monash Sustainable Transport Month

Monash is showing its commitment to reducing its impact on our environment by launching Sustainable Transport Month from September 22nd to October 18th.

Sustainable Transport Month is about reducing the number of single occupancy car rides whilst promoting sustainable and healthy travel options to and from Monash.

During Sustainable Transport Month, all Monash students and staff will be asked to consider how they travel to campus and will be encouraged to either ride, walk, take public transport or carpool to show their commitment to this exciting initiative.

What you can do:

  • Transport Survey The Transport Survey to be conducted during Sustainable Transport Month, is an important tool that allows Monash University to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable practices and the environment by identifying current travel patterns and areas that need improvement. This year’s survey is also feeding into the development of a new bicycle strategy.

The survey is being conducted by an external consultant, GTA Consultants, on behalf of Monash University. Any information provided will be treated as confidential, with responses aggregated for reporting purposes.

This is a great opportunity for you to contribute to the future planning of the University. With a few clicks (and approximately 5 minutes of your time) you can assist in the development of a more environmentally sustainable University. By simply completing the survey, you could also win one of two new bikes.
