Monash is committed to renewable energy and to harnessing solar and wind energy on campus. Monash purchases a minimum of 15 percent of green power from renewable energy resources.

Caulfield Campus Renewable energy initiatives are planned for the Caulfield Campus in 2011/12. Information on these initiatives will be available shortly.

Clayton Campus There are several renewable energy initiatives at the Clayton campus. These include a photovoltaic 416 solar panel array installed on the roof of the campus centre and a solar thermal system for heating water in the Doug Ellis Pool. Click here to read more.

Gippsland Campus 9 Solar Hot Water Systems were installed on the Southern Residences at Gippsland Campus saving over 80% of electricity that the hot water system would otherwise use. Click here to read more.
