Provision of Mail Services - University Shutdown 2008

Berwick Campus

The Berwick campus mail room will close Tuesday 23rd December 2008 at midday. An internal and external mail pick-up and delivery will take place once only in the morning.

The last lodgement of external mail with our various providers will be early afternoon Tuesday, so please organise for all urgent mail (which has missed the final pick-up) to be delivered to the mailroom by 9 am. To ensure delivery of internal mail on Tuesday it is requested that departments get their internal mail out during the normal pick-ups on Monday. Internal mail picked up during the only run on Tuesday will not be delivered before Monday 5th January 2009.

Caulfield Campus

The Caulfield campus mail room will close Tuesday 23rd December 2008 at midday. An internal and external mail pick-up and delivery will take place once only in the morning.

The last lodgement of external mail with our various providers will be early afternoon Tuesday, so please organise for all urgent mail (which has missed the final pick-up) to be delivered to the mailroom by 11.30 am. To ensure delivery of internal mail on Tuesday it is requested that departments get their internal mail out during the normal pick-ups on Monday. Internal mail picked up during the only run on Tuesday will not be delivered before Monday 5th January 2009.

During the shut-down period, mailroom staff will be performing mail sorting on the morning of Tuesday 30th December 2008. There will be no mail delivery on that day; however anyone working is welcome to collect departmental mail from the mailroom between 10.00 and 11.00 am. The Caulfield campus mailroom is located in Building A1 Room 28.

Clayton Campus

The Clayton campus mailroom will close on Tuesday 23rd December 2008 at midday. During the morning, the following services will be provided:

  • One internal mail run around the Clayton campus at 10 am to pick-up and deliver all mail
  • Normal morning mail, courier and library runs from Clayton campus to other campuses and suburban locations

The last lodgement of external mail with our various providers will be at midday Tuesday, so please organise for all urgent mail (which has missed the final pick-up) to be delivered to the mailroom by 11 am. To ensure delivery of internal mail on Tuesday it is requested that departments get their internal mail out during the normal pick-ups on Monday. Internal mail picked up during the only run on Tuesday will not be delivered before Monday 5th January 2009.
