A Message from the University Security Manager
Security and personal safety is of course very important to everyone at Monash and whilst the university provides a dedicated professional security service team, the responsibility for security and safety does not rest solely with the university's security personnel.
A safe secure community is best be realised when everyone in that community accepts and shares at least some of that responsibility. Accordingly your contribution, however big or small, to the university's security is equally important to our success.
To help everyone contribute in the best way they can our Security Services employs a collaborative approach actively working with the individuals and groups who study, work, reside at or visit the university, providing them with the necessary guidance and support to help build a strong culture of security awareness from which we all can benefit.
If you have any security related concerns or inquiries, or would like to know what you can do to help keep the university community safe, please talk to your local security patrol staff, contact your local campus security office, or the University's Security Advisory Office for advice or assistance.
On behalf of the University Security Advisory Office and local campus Security Services teams, I hope that your experiences at Monash University are both enjoyable and beneficial.
Yours Sincerely,
Russell Gammie
University Security Manager
