Safes on campus are to be locked at all times, other than when items are being placed into or removed from within.

Staff member/s that have been delegated responsibility for the contents of a safe must ensure that the integrity of combination details, user IDs, PIN (number) and keys is always maintained.

Where possible, cash and other valuables should be placed in a lockable receptacle or safe.

A safe should be kept secure at all times other than when in authorized use.

The selection, location and management procedures for a safe should be decided in consultation with the University Security Advisory Office.
