Police Band Launch Safety Week

Victoria Police Band at CaulfieldVictoria Police Band at CaulfieldClayton and Caulfield campus students have been treated to a professional class musical performance by the Victoria Police Band who launched the University's Safety Week 2009.

As part of the Safety Week activities, students were welcomed by the University's Security and Traffic department who highlighted the services provided to staff and students.

Of interest were matters relating to Personal and Community Safety, Crime Prevention and Parking on campus. Information on Campus Watch was also given to students and staff. Victoria Police offered free Property Marking on the day.

The free Sausage Sizzle assisted by Student Union representatives was also greatly appreciated by all who attended. Security and Traffic department provided free Campus Watch lanyards for students and staff ID cards were also distributed with information brochures.

Thanks to all the students, especially those from the Student Unions at Clayton and Caulfield who supported the event. This helped make Safety Week a big success in 2009.
