International Student Safety

International Student Safety is important to Monash University. We have established close working relationships with Victoria Police and other interested parties to support and encourage the safety of all our staff and students, including International Students.

In 2009 Monash University initiated the installation of a closed circuit security system at the local Churchill Central Business District. This initiative involved the Churchill Police and Churchill Central Business District management. It has been a great success improving the safety of all members of the community, including out staff and students.

Due to the success of this partnership, Monash University Crime Prevention Office have teamed up with the Clayton Police and local Clayton businesses to provide greater safety to our staff and students using the local shopping area.

The Crime Prevention Officer is a member of a number of safer community groups, including the Community Safety Month Advisory Committee.

Working with Victorian Police Crime Prevention Officers, Monash University has established a number of educational and awareness programs available to all staff and students, including International students.
