Policy for Yellow Parking Permits

Yellow parking permits are available for Monash University Departments and Faculties only.

The permit must be clearly displayed face-up on the vehicle dashboard and may be used in all areas designated as YELLOW Permit Parking.

A Yellow Parking Permit is not to be used to park anywhere on campus except in yellow parking areas.

Yellow Parking Permits purchased by departments based at Caulfield are not to be utilised at Caulfield Campus.

Under no circumstances are departments to allow Yellow Parking Permits to be used for private parking of staff on a permanent basis.

Staff holding a current parking permit to park at their base campus may utilize a departmental Yellow Parking Permit in the following circumstance:

- Upon return from using their private vehicle for departmental purposes and there are no parking spaces pertaining to their parking permit available.

Yellow Parking Zones are set aside for use by:

- University vehicles displaying the University logo.
- Vehicles displaying a current Yellow Parking Permit.
- Vehicles displaying a temporary Yellow Day Permit.
- Contractor vehicles displaying a current Contractors Permit.
- Vehicles displaying a Category 2 Disabled Council Permit
(Category 1 permit holders should utilize the Accessibility parking areas available on campus)

Any contravention of this policy, at the discretion of the Divisional Director Facilities & Services,
may result in the cancellation of a Yellow Permit.
